AmeriKKKa. ..Home of The Slaves
Why is it that Amerikkka gets so upset, every single year, during B.L.A.C.K History Month? As if they have no idea it’s coming, every single year!? I mean really!? If every year there are twitter wars about why there is a need for B.L.A.C.K History Month, Facebook wars, and political wars, surrounding this simple idea…then there is obviously a need for B.L.A.C.K History Month, especially with trump in office. People now have permission to dismiss us, because their president does.
Black History Month Origin:
Black History Month was a long time coming. In the 19th century, around 1926 a great Afrikan historian and author Carter G. Woodson created ‘Negro History Week’. It was created to encourage teachings of Afrikan American history in public schools. Carter G. Woodson urged the teaching to ensure our race survived the ever too often cultural erasing that happens when no one tells the tales and triumphs of their race. He says;
“If a race has no history, it has no worthwhile tradition, it becomes a negligible factor in the thought of the world, and it stands in danger of being exterminated. The American Indian left no continuous record. He did not appreciate the value of tradition; and where is he today? The Hebrew keenly appreciated the value of tradition, as is attested by the Bible itself. In spite of worldwide persecution, therefore, he is a great factor in our civilization.”
But it wasn’t until the early 1970s that the B.L.A.C.K Student Union at Kent State University proposed an entire month. The University, on their own, celebrated B.L.A.C.K History month before it’s international debut. It wasn’t until 1976 that the United States Bicentennial (a series of celebrations and observances paying tribute to historic events) helped nationally recognize B.LA.C.K History Month, in which President Ford agreed with, and spoke about;
“seize the opportunity to honor the too-often neglected accomplishments of black Americans in every area of endeavor throughout our history……I urge my fellow citizens to join me in tribute to Black History Month and the message of courage and perseverance it brings to all of us.” –More Here
Over the next few decades the UK, and Canada also adapted this historical event and in 2016 it’s still celebrated, slandered, thrashed, mistreated, unnecessarily complained about, and worse, but hey, racism doesn’t exist right? Because we all know that celebrating the accomplishments of your ancestors and your race is actually racism right? Its just like how celebrating your great grandfather for building the house your parents now live in is racism. How dare you celebrate the past for allowing you to exist in the present!! There’s no white history month!! I WANT A WHITE HISTORY MONTH!! Blah blah blah…white people are known for killing, raping, and stealing the world…gone head celebrate that shit…you do it anyway. Op.
Every year Amerikkka shows it’s ass and says FUCK BLACK HISTORY MONTH…and I say, we are better than that. Shout out to the “progressive white” women and men who understand this simple idea of celebration and remembrance, we need more of you…
P.S Black History Month celebrates the history of the Afrikan Diaspora which includes, Asians, Latinos, Afrikans and More…NOT just Afrikan Americans.
