Kelly Rowland — This Is Her Year!
You know how you have great ideas, discuss them at length with friends and family, dreaming of the future when you’re finally able to implement them… and then some celebrity with the same idea comes along and snatches your dream first? You know they put micro cameras in them damn posters we hang on the wall! Yea. ..well, Grammy winning recording artist Kelly Rowland is coming out with her very own makeup line.
Kelly Rowland told Essence;
“My makeup artist Sheika Daley and I are actually starting a makeup line we’re making sure we make, well, we’re starting off with lashes and then we’re going to have it grow for all women,” Rowland told Essence. “But definitely making sure we have our chocolate girls covered. Gotta get the chocolate girls in there! We have to have that, you know. I think Iman has done a beautiful makeup line and I want to do it too!”
In a recent interview with The Breakfast Club Kelly Talks Candidly About Her Makeup Line:
It’s an amazing idea, and Kelly Rowland being one of the few dark chocolate skinned girls winning in the arts and entertainment its perfect for her brand. Iman, as mentioned did a great line for people of colour, and now Kelly will venture into the same field. Soon after, God willing, so will Tahir Register entertainment entrepreneur, who’s never been interested in makeup, but very interested in equality and figured having a great line for people of colour specifically would be profitable and beneficial for all. If you’re reading this having no idea who Tahir Register is…well, it’s me! Ha!
I’m excited for Kelly’s line, not to mention her brand new reality show “Chasing Destiny” airs April 5th 2016 right after Black Girls Rock!
