Oprah Winfrey A Billionaire Much Like You And I

     Oprah Winfrey recently lost over 25 pounds on the weight watchers plan and she is looking ravishing at 66 years old. #SOULdiers, while we may not have Oprah’s bank, we struggle with weight, and being healthy, as a nation, as a community, and she’s no different. The latter is what’s so inspiring to me about Oprah’s recent weight loss journey. The photo above is the most recent photo of her This April at the Tribeca Film Festival promoting her latest project Greenleaf. Looks like a lot more than 25 lbs lost, looks more like 40! Amazing! Oprah recently surprised a group of Weight Watchers encouraging them and us even more:

Fun Weight Watchers Surprise….

     Recently Oprah purchase over 6 million shares in Weight Watchers making her part owner of the entire conglomerate. After her purchase the stock market went crazy, beefing up so much that Oprah Winfrey made about 70 million dollars in one day! Aside from the money, she’s actually loosing the weight! Weight Watchers is a program that allows you to get the food you love, but manage yourself by allotting a certain amount of points per day, instead of counting calories, you count points and you drop the weight without even noticing it. Here’s what Oprah had to say;

     While I’ve never struggled with Weight, I am overweight. Men are different, unfortunately fortunate, we do not have the same kind of upbringing that women face when it comes to body shaming and image. I grew up skinny, fit at one point and then due to medication and being sick with asthma and severe allergies my metabolism slowed dramatically and the weight came soon after. It didn’t bother me, I was still dancing, walking, and as active, I just didn’t care, but I can see how frustrating it could be as a woman dealing with what “society says” you should look like. I never dealt with that, but I can sympathize. We all struggle with weight, and it’s great that we have people like Oprah who seemingly has everything we’d ever want, struggle with something she could very easily fix under a knife! If you do the work, the weight will fall, and YOU CAN STILL HAVE BREAD!!!
