Back On His Funny
Jamie Foxx recently announced he is writing and directing his first film ever titled; “All Star Weekend”. Considering the Oscar award winning actor has been in this industry for over 30 years you’d think he would’ve written and directed several films, but this one will be his first! Jamie Foxx came into the industry as a comedian, worked his way on to television as the legendary Wanda from “In Living Colour” to eventually getting his own hit tv show “The Jamie Foxx Show”. After touring as a stand up comedian Jamie headed to Hollywood to star in huge films such as “Collateral” and “Ray”. Jamie even released hit records becoming a platinum selling artist, and now he can add screenwriter and director to his long list of accomplishments.
“All Star Weekend” which is titled as the famed basketball event that takes place every year appears to feature legendary boxer Floyd Mayweather, and many more stars as Jamie states. If his stand up comedy is any indication, this film will be as he says;
“Back on my funny shit!!! Directing my first flick!!! This shit bout to be crazy! …the cast and cameos are epic!!!! #AllStarWeekendthemovie……. #PureComedy”
