Azealia Banks is making power moves!

Known for her hit viral record “212” and her candid, freely speaking tweets about social consciousness, justice, celebrities, life and weird shit, she is a presence! A force! And now an actress? The 24 year old New Yorker, rapper & singer is proving to be the star she was born to be.

Anything RZA is apart of is top notch, not to mention rapper/actor and academy award
winning Common, and the Light of the Sun Queen Woman Jill Scott, and the dynamic actress Lorraine Toussaint from Orange Is The New Black. I cannot wait to see this movie.

“Coco is a musical drama the story centers on Banks’ character, a young rapper and college student who enrolls in a poetry course in hopes of improving her lyrical prowess. Instead, she uncovers a passion for slam poetry. Scott portrays the class’ professor, an educator who feels rap and slam poetry should remain separate worlds. Common plays a mentor figure, while Orange is the New Black and Selmaactress Lorraine Toussaint portrays Banks’ character’s mother. Update: According to a press release, the film is actually called Coco…” SOURCE
