[VIDEO] Soul Train Music Awards 2015 Winners & Highlights Including Erykah Badu’s Epic Comedic Opening WATCH:

Erykah Badu was hilarious and historic on the Soul Train Awards…

LIST OF WINNERS

Erykah Badu hosted the 2015 Soul Train Awards on Centric and BET and oh boy did she deliver! It was funny, musical, soulful, and it brought people together on one accord. Already fans could tell from the commercial previews that this years show was going to be comedy filled. Erykah Badu stated in an interview with Complex that “…comedy is [her] first love…” So it comes to no surprise that her cracks on ex’s Common, and Andre 3000 and the fact that her baby’s fathers are all rappers were performed. It’s also no surprise that…well let me stop lying, it was SHOCKING!!!

Erykah Badu went in!! Poor iggy, it was all in fun, but wasn’t it epic? After stating no rappers can come to the Soul Train Awards in a comedy sketch she ended the sketch with what she knew people would react to, a jaw dropping moment, “…no no no no no you can come cause’ what you’re doing definitely aint rap…”. Relax folk, it was just a joke, and it was apparently written by known comedian and writer Mitchell Marchand, but the joke was one that millions were already thinking, she just said it …and it was hilarious WATCH:

Chrisette Michele released exclusive behind the scenes footage of the Soul Train Awards first ever Soul Cypher check it out:

The show was great! Epic performances by Fantasia who trended all night long, Chrisette Michele and Lala Hathaway who scatted us into heaven, R Kelly who took us own home and of course Tevin Campbell and legend Baby Face shutting it down with that amazing tribute and performance. This show was one of the best shows yet! Erica Campbell was even trending for that powerful performance of “I Need A Little More Jesus” EPIC NIGHT!!!
