May 2nd 2016 activist Alice Faye Afeni Shakur Williams Davis passed away to possible cardiac complications. This 69 year old woman who founded the “Tupac Amaru Shakur Center for the Arts”, rallied and marched for civil rights, was a prominent political activist and philanthropist and also birthed the Prince of Rap, Tupac Shakur. It saddens me to know such a young important woman to the culture has passed, but I find peace knowing she is with her beloved son Tupac. That image alone in my head is so beautiful that I do not mourn her death, but celebrate a reunion. Rest with Jesus Afeni and thank you for your service to our people!

“The Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of possible cardiac arrest at Davis’ home around 9:30 p.m. on Monday night. She was transferred to a local hospital, where she died around 10:28 p.m. 

The Sheriff’s Coroners Office will investigate the exact cause and manner of Davis’ death, the Sheriff’s Office said.”
