January 17, 1942 – June 3, 2016
Muhammad Ali, the greatest Boxer in the world, has died on June 3rd 2016. NBC News reports;
“Muhammad Ali, the silver-tongued boxer and civil rights champion who famously proclaimed himself ‘The Greatest’ and then spent a lifetime living up to the billing, is dead.
Ali died Friday at a Phoenix-area hospital, where he had spent the past few days being treated for respiratory complications, a family spokesman confirmed to NBC News. He was 74.
‘After a 32-year battle with Parkinson’s disease, Muhammad Ali has passed away at the age of 74. The three-time World Heavyweight Champion boxer died this evening,’ Bob Gunnell, a family spokesman, told NBC News.”
This is a terrible loss for his fans, but most importantly his grieving family. Its also reported that his family was surrounding him during the time of his death and that it was peaceful, if true, thats amazing. TheBLACKMedia sends prayers to the Ali family.
Muhammad had 9 children, all of whom are grieving at this time, my condolences. Ali’s daughter Laila Ali who followed in her fathers footsteps was scheduled to appear on The Celebrity Apprentice later this year, I wonder if her fathers death would have an effect on the show, either way Ali was the greatest, and will forever remain a legend.
