A Beautiful Story
Raven Symone shares her coming out experience, the ups, the downs and the secrets in an exclusive interview with Entertainment Tonight’s “It Got Better” doc-u-series. In the wake of the terrible massacre in Orlando, I thought it was appropriate to share this story at this time. Gay people are simply human. And while Raven Symone has never truly spoke about her experience, what she shared will help someone love themselves. Raven Symone is a trooper for Women Like Her, smart, funny, a business woman, strong, and fearless, her sexuality is at the bottom of a long list of things that make her special and I think Raven would agree.
In the interview Raven talks about getting rid of the beard, the man by her side just to please the pubic and her brand. She opens up about thoughts when she was younger reminiscing on the past as if she was talking to her younger self, hilariously stating; “Yea you were Gay”. This interview is touching, and humanizes Raven Symone in a way many may not have seen before. It shows the struggle in Raven’s life, which many of us go through, no matter what our sexual orientation is;
