Prince Tribute – Alicia Keys Style
Alicia Keys Prince tribute at the Tribeca Film Festival was magical! Many are unaware but one of Alicia Keys hit records “How Come You Dont Call Me” is actually a Prince record that Alicia Keys covered. Alicia Keys first album “Songs In A Minor” featured Prince’s record and the two were connected ever since. When she recorded the record as a new artist, she was unaware she had to literally call the artist and ask them to use it.
Alicia;
“I was so nervous…like what am I gonna say, how am I gonna convince him, I dont wanna beg, like I’m not gonna beg him…but I kinda wanna beg em”
The record went international and so did Alicia Keys. Alicia recently sat down with Rap Radar and discussed her Prince memories and more;
