I Did Not See This Coming. ..
“Love Jones – The Musical” is headed to stages all across America this fall. MC Lyte took to Instagram to announce it’s debut. It will star Musiq Soulchild, Chrisette Michele, Raheem Devaughn, MC Lyte, Dave Hollister, and Marsha Ambroius. On the brink of the 20th anniversary of one of the greatest films about B.L.A.C.K Arts and Culture ever made, this musical is right on time. While many may speculate how this could be turned into a musical, I say, If “In The Heights” can be a musical, rapping, poetry, etc…then so can “Love Jones”. If you haven’t seen “Love Jones” yet, please see it before you see The Musical, it will change your life, and according to reviews, once you see the musical, it will too. I cannot wait to see it, the cast sounds great, one of the greatest movies ever created, and if it’s done right, this could be taken all the way to BROADWAY!
