What A Drama Is Supposed To Be. ..
Queen Sugar OWN’s new drama premiering this fall stars Rutina Wesley from True Blood in her most dramatic role to date. The drama series, which is executive produced by Oprah Winfrey and Ava Duvernay is completely directed by female directors this debut season. A rarity in hollywood, television and film, but leave it to Oprah and Ava to make sure of it! Im here for it! Rutina stars as Nova a powerful journalist who speaks towards Black activism and social issues, a popular activist who’s dating a white man in the world of confusion. Rutina’s break out role on True Blood made her a staple, and her role on Queen Sugar will catapult her career, mark my words.
