Nicki Minaj recently sat with Marie Claire and candidly spoke about race and relations. As a reference to her point of rich men of colour leaving, or aspiring to “other races”, particularly white women, Nicki ingeniously reminded us about Kanye West’s “Gold Digger” lyrics. In Kanye’s lyrics he stats;

“…and when you get on he’ll leave your ass for a white girl”

A controversial lyric that in 2006 in Rolling Stone Kanye West stated;

‘It’s lines like that that separate the good from the great….Anyone who may have interpreted that line as an indictment of interracial dating would be sorely mistaken…. If it wasn’t for race mixing, there’d be no video girls…..Me and most of my friends like mutts a lot.’

While Nicki Minaj may have mis-quoted Kanye West her point is still valid. A deeper seeded issue with people of colour, Black people and their white counter parts, as if white is better, white is right, and “you’ve made it” once you’ve attracted a white woman. Its the very thing that keeps us caged. “Emancipate yourself from mental slavery” a quote (Bob Marley) that deals with what Nicki Minaj is bringing to the forefront in conversation about rich black men and their destructive mentality.

Nicki Even Displayed True Passion On The Subject Of Men And Their Degrading Ways In Her Recent TIDAL Performance;

Recently the Facebook page Truth and Edutainment published a video revealing this very sentiment;

Needless to say, I did not keep my composer, considering this man’s mother is BLACK, however id be lying if I said my heart didn’t bleed for him as he is dealing with such deep psychological issues that I or any certified help could fix. It appears he wanted a white girl with black features and It made me wonder, if he is thinking this way, how many of our men are too?
