2017 Grammys

The 2017 Grammy Nominations Are In Beyonce Leads, Mya Returns, And R&B Welcomes A New

Music’s Night Of Excellence

The 2017 Grammy Award nominations are in, and Beyonce leads with 9 nominations projecting from her most talked about album yet, “LEMONADE”. The coming year’s Grammy Award show will take place on February 12th 2017.

This year’s nominations were full of surprises. New comer Ro James enters the reigns with his nomination in the coveted R&B Performance category with his hit record; “Permission”.

Mya the grammy winning singer, dancer, and actress returns to music with her album “Smoove JONES” and a 2017 grammy nomination in the R&B album category.

Leading the top category’s Beyonce, Kanye, Rihanna, and Drake take over the important, often televised categories, which you’d think would influence the Grammy’s to show more people of colour during the live show, but that rarely happens. Hopefully this year, that will change.
