Chris Rock is set to produce a B.E.T late night talk show starring Robin Thede. Even though B.E.T has had a Late Night talk show before, The MoNique Show, which based on ratings was a hit, it didn’t last as long as it should have. Chris Rock’s show will be focused on politics and comedy; “like a funny Rachel Maddow show”.
Chris Rock has produced films, and have produced segments in television, his own show (Everybody Hates Chris), and as a comedian so he has an eye for hit tv. Robin Thede, you may not know the name, but you’ve seen her work, met Chris when he hosted the B.E.T awards. Robin was a writer/producer, Chris thought she had a special gift and thought she needed to be in front of the camera.
Robin Thede is the first Afrikan American woman in history to be a lead writer for a late night talk show. Robin is a force, and many may not know her name, but they will. With Chris Rock producing this show, added with Robin’s superior writing skills which can be seen on Husbands of Hollywood, and her take on policies and news, this show could be a hit. ..especially if they add TheBLACKMedia to the cast, Ha!
