Dawn Richard recently visited HOT 97’s Nessa to discuss her new tour The Redemption Tour, and her independent grind. Being one of the few independent artist charting on Billboard consistently, reaching millions of viewers, and selling out stages Dawn is an icon in the making.

Once a member of Danity Kane from the hit reality show “Making The Band” Dawn reveals why she stayed quiet for so long, and why her loyalty for Diddy never changed. Being a super fan, I knew she had an album and single out prior to the show, however millions had no idea. It was this album that solidified Dawn’s relationship with Diddy.

Dawn’s Realiationship With Diddy:

Although many have speculated Richard and Diddy were in a relationship, the latter, which was never the case, was just a result of poor media. Seen as the one who broke up the band (which was Diddy, not Dawn), D∆WN was often looked at as a hungry artist willing to do anything. She went on to release hit singles with Dirty Money, which fans assumed was because of her relationship with Diddy. D∆WN is a fighter, she is loyal, and talented, working isn’t a crime, and wanting your dream to come true isn’t either. We can learn from Dawn.
