Tichina Arnold announced on The Real talk show that she’s gearing up to release an album. Known for her powerhouse voice on the hit show Martin, Tichina is no newbie when it comes to singing. Having released a single with Tisha Campbell (who also returned to music), a cover song called “Don’t Ask My Neighbor” for the film Sprung, fans have wanted a full length album for years.
Tichina has continued the pursuit of singing and music. Having auditioned for Broadway and sharing her process and announcing how she didn’t get the part, a humbling experience for actors, and singers. Being a recurring actress on the TV Land sitcom Happily Divorced, in which her character often ended episodes singing, the voice never left her side.
In a clip from The Real which airs Monday May 22nd Tichina announces she has five songs done and is gearing up to release an album. Millions of fans have loved her voice since they came into contact with it. Considering she has a powerful, creative vocal style, Tichina can pretty much sing anything. I wonder what direction the album will be in.
