September 18th 2017 VH1 aired the Hip Hop Honors and Missy Elliott opened the show with a futuristic epic performance. Always ten steps ahead of the game, Missy showed us again what originality is. Missy is a legend, breaking barriers and pushing the culture forward, Missy does so effortlessly. Im not sure how she pulled this performance off, but that’s the magic of Missy, transforming herself and keeping us wondering.
Vh1 Hiphop honors did a great job keeping us woke and reminding the world just exactly who we are. We are influential people who innovate and cultivate the world. Many will try to tell you otherwise, but as Pharell said on his tangent (see below); “open your eyes.”
