Cardi B Bodak Yellow First Female Rapper At No. 1 On Billboard Since Lauryn Hill W/ No Features

Cardi B Bodak Yellow is the first female rapper to hit the number one spot on Billboard hot 100 since Lauryn Hill’s “Do Wop/That Thang” with no features. 19 years ago Lauryn Hill dominated the top of the charts with her massive hit, “Do Wop/ That Thang” a single off her debut album apart from The Fugees. Today Cardi B reigns with Bodak Yellow from number two, to number one, no features, or assistance, a solo record making Cardi only the 5th female in rap to do it.
