The Will and Jada Pinkett Smith Family Foundation launched careers in entertainment in 2016 to help undeserved youth get into the entertainment business. This year CIE will be touring cities visiting colleges and high schools providing experiences for interest in entertainment. Providing direct access to the entertainment industry’s best, will change the trajectory of inclusion for the better.
Many have complained about the lack of support entertainers give to youth, and up and coming interest, but this tour helps to calm that. Who wouldn’t want to meet, learn from, and work with Jada Pinkett Smith? Careers In Entertainment is the perfect solution to inspiring various professions in entertainment to the undeserved who, before this, would’ve never had the opportunity. And that’s major!
“In support of President Obama’s My Brother’s Keeper (MBK), the CIE Tour will bring entertainment industry leaders to cities across the U.S. to speak with high school and college-aged participants from underserved communities. The tour will visit six cities from 2016-2017 with the goal of reaching approximately 2,000 young people. We’ll choose cities with established roots in the industry and local MBK chapters.”
