Project Runway alumni Mychael Knight has passed at 39 years old Tuesday Oct. 17, 2017 in Atlanta, GA. Widely known from his stint on Project Runway, Mychael became the go-to-Black designer for celebrities, corporations, and anyone of interest. Mychael’s fashions can be seen in Ledisi’s music video “I Blame You” where he made a cameo appearance, on celebrities from Sherri Shepherd to Eva Marcille. He will be greatly missed, rest with Jesus Mychael!
Official Statement: “We are still processing the untimely death of our son, brother, friend, and uncle. Mychael meant everything to us and we loved him dearly. He was generous and so full of life. This is how we choose to remember his legacy. – Knight Family”. Many are speculating the cause of death, but as the family has requested, we should allow them time of grievance. Updates will follow, but let’s all remember Mychael for how great he was, that amazing smile that captured you, and his unique gift for fashion and design.
