Remy Ma announced the release of her new single “Wake Me Up” featuring hiphop legend Lil Kim via social media. In a genre where women seldom collaborate, it’s beautiful to see two New York Queens jump on a record together. Remy recently signed a multimillion dollar deal with Sony Entertainment, and is now managed by Vince Herbert (Tamar Braxton’s Husband), and “Wake Me Up” will be the lead single from her new deal.

Azealia Banks Exclusive Interview Talks Remy Ma And More

“Wake Me Up” will be the first official Remy Ma single that’ll lead to an official album. Since her prison release, we’ve seen Remy make one of the greatest come backs of all time, citing prison as everything other than a gimmick. Remy made sure people understood prison wasn’t easy, or a place for anyone to be. Whereas many rappers would brag about it, Remy did not. We’ve seen Remy on Love and Hiphop New York, and release a platinum record with Fat Joe “All The Way Up”, and now she’s back on her solo grind.

The images appeared to be a music video and TMZ reports the lyrics below to be about Nicki Minaj, which we hope it’s not, rap beefs are so dead.

“That crown I’m gon take that s**t. Cause you a clown and homie don’t play that s**t……I heard he lay that d**k. You let them fillet that fish. You just met him how he bae that quick?”
