Eminem released Walk On Water featuring Beyonce, an unexpected soulful bop. Beyonce leads the song with beautiful vocals that cascade over the production right before Eminem comes in with very soul driven lyrics. A dynamic duo, no one knew this collaboration was happening, but it’s well worth it. Even though the actual style of song has been used before, vocalist singing over a dramatic track with poetic rap vocals much like Eve’s record “Make It Out This Town” or anything Macklemore does, it’s still a powerful record.
“I Walk On Water…But I Aint No Jesus”
Eminem recently delivered a strong message to the president at BET Hip Hop awards during the cypher. After the support and Black-lash of his performance, many wondered if he was the White person for the job. Releasing a record with the Queen after that stellar performance shows an obvious plan of unity, and genuine care, especially since the topic of Walk On Water deals in the reality of life and the structure of opinion based in media. It’s a great day for music, Beyonce and Em is back!
“Kids look to me as a God, this is retarded, if only they knew this is a facade and it’s exhaustive”
