Ledisi Add To Me Music Video/Film Is Black Power Melanin Realness

Ledisi released the music video/film of her latest single Add To Me. Directed by her boyfriend Ron T. Young, Add To Me is a period piece. We see in the film/music video a strong woman at the helm of the revolution and what appears to be a speakeasy of sorts. Story telling is a lost art, but Ledisi and her team has captured it here.

The film journeys a party in what appears to be the 50s or early 60s with featured actor Timon Kyle Durrett (Queen Sugar) and familiar face Darius McCrary from Family Matters. It shows Ledisi speaking at a Black Pantha rally and Timon being in the meeting. After visiting a party, they remember each other, and pass the physical attraction the question stands. ..how you gone’ add to me?
