Beloved veteran actor Reginald E. Cathey, also known as Reg Cathey passed away February 9th 2018, in New York, from his battle with cancer.
Known for being one of Black Hollywood’s elite skilled actors having graduated from Yale school of Drama, and appearing in over 50 films and television shows since the late 80s and having an undeniable baritone voice. Reg Cathey was, for many, an example of Black excellence in Acting, and many revered him as one of the kindest Human beings alive.
Known for his roles in Oz, The Wire, and House of Cards, Reg Cathey will be missed as someone so comfortable to see, almost like that favorite uncle.

Tweets On Reg Cathey’s Passing:
Reg Cathey, 1958-2018. Not only a fine, masterful actor — but simply one of the most delightful human beings with whom I ever shared some long days on set. On wit alone, he could double any man over and leave him thinking. Reg, your memory is a great blessing. pic.twitter.com/OHEUbAhTg0
