J. Cole kept his word and released his new album “KOD” on 4/20 after spontaneously announcing it’s release via Twitter a few days ago, and releasing the meaning of KOD a day before the release.
J. Cole says “KOD” has three meanings; “Kids On Drugs, King Overdosed, Kill Our Demons” in which he says he’ll leave the rest of the album to our own interpretation. J. Cole also released a lead single to promote the album along with the full album release called; “ATM”, a deep look into what money does to us as Human beings, and the true value of a dollar.
J. Cole is a brillant lyricist who uses rap to paint a picture of reality and life, personal and environmental, expressing himself through a poetry.
“count it up count it up count it up count it…can’t take it when you die, but you can’t live without it”
