Janelle Monae recently told Rolling Stone she identifies as Pansexual, and once identified as Bi-sexual until she discovered the meaning of pansexuality, but says she’s ultimately just; “a free ass motherfucker”.
I hope, one day, we can all enjoy the freedom Janelle Monae is experiencing, as it should be, unconfined by societal standards that often gets confused by the word of God. Freedom is joy, and Janelle discovering her pansexuality is inspiring as it shows, on a large scale, someone who throughout their life, was simply unsure, which is one of the most Human experiences that seldom gets shared when it comes to sexuality.
Many believe you are born straight, gay, bi, etc, but what about the discovery?
“Being a queer black woman in America—someone who has been in relationships with both men and women—I consider myself to be a free-ass motherfucker….[I] “read about pansexuality and was like, ‘Oh, these are things that I identify with too.’ I’m open to learning more about who I am…”
Janelle Monae recollects the original title of her hit song “Q.U.E.E.N” featuring Erykah Badu, which was supposed to be “Q.U.E.E.R”, but due to fear of judgement and politics, was changed to Queen.
Pansexuals are natures fine Human Beings not rare in nature, but often unfound in self discovery, or found and unwilling to express/exist naturally due to fear, groupthink, and judgement that their nature of: not being limited in sexual choice would render isolated results and some think even death.
You cannot control attraction, and pansexuals cannot control what may come of their sexual nature when they come into contact with someone that leads to attraction; Gay, Straight, Bi-sexual, Trans, Lesbian, etc. No limitations, means free living.
