Donald Childish Gambino Glover released an intense music video to accompany is new record “This Is America”, which instantly went viral after he debuted it on SNL.

This Is America is an accurate look into what it means to be a person of colour, particularly a Black Man in America where guns are treated better than beings. Gambino’s music video and single is a clear indication of the chaos Amerikkka is so comfortable living in by using obvious images, uncomfortable to watch, coupled with what it looks like to exist around it.

Each time someone was shot, someone carefully took the gun and wrapped it up, but dragged the bodies of the slain, or left them to rot.

This Is America should be required viewing because these kinds of images should make you feel uncomfortable, and for many, it doesn’t. Maybe intense viewing, also known as, looking at the truth without a coat of sugar, would began conversations that will end much of the unnecessary chaos that often leads to gain for those at the top.
