A new Spike Lee Joint; “BlacKkKlansman”, out this August 10th, produced by Jordan Peele, heads to theaters this August after a successful world premiere at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival, starring John David Washington.
John David Washington is a formal NFL player turned actor, starring as Ron Stallworth trying to infiltrate the Ku Kluz Klan before their plan to kill comes to light. BlacKkKlansman is a comedy-drama written and directed by Spike Lee based off of Ron Stallworth’s book “Black Klansman”.
BlacKkKlansman comes at a great time in Amerikkka to remind the millions of us that the KKK still exist as a nationally recognized organization who’s ultimate goal is ultimate power. This film will be a huge conversation starter, one that we need, one that will now be immortalized in a blatant, creative, yet real way, as Spike Lee puts it; “based on some fo’ real, fo’ real sh*t”.
