May 23rd in Atlanta GA NFL team owners held a meeting and unanimously agreed that all NFL players this year and years moving forward, must stand during the national anthem.

Prior to May 23rd’s meeting, there were no rules about protesting on the field, but now players must stand during the national anthem or stay in the locker room or be penalized by their team owner. Players cannot be fined by the league, which is who made the “must stand” rule, but their team owner can make rules against protesting that they’ll have to follow.

Unfortunately Colin Kaepernicks protest to wake Amerikkka up to the many deaths of unarmed Black Men and Boys by the hands of white police, continues to be an issue for the NFL.

Although this “must stand” rule is in effect, what’s true is that the NFL does not exist without Black Men, and if enough of them realize this, they can make an even bigger movement and decide NOT to play. Doing so will not only continue to bring light to the injustice, but will also help them earn their power back in the league, which at large, they do not have.

CNN Reported;

“A statement from NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said team owners unanimously agreed that the NFL can fine a team whose players protests on the sidelines during the National Anthem, but that each team will set will its own rules regarding players who want to kneel.” – CNN
