After Sanaa Lathan revealed a new shaved head later this year, fans, and industry people were not only shocked, but curious. Of course we learned the cut was for a movie, but now that we all see the trailer we understand the power behind Nappily Ever After.

Nappily Ever After, which was first a best selling book written by Trisha R. Thomas is a story about a Woman of colour who relied too much on her hair, that when she cut it off, she had to focus on herself, and her life.

This movie comes at a perfect time as our community struggles with going natural vs perms, weaves, straightening combs, and presses. This film, from the trailer, will inspire through comedy and real life situations, that hair, while important, is not as important as self love.
