ESPN’s most popular correspondent, Jemele Hill has been bought out of her contract and is set to finally leave ESPN after publicizing her political views. Jemele Hill, a revolutionary, in 2017 decided to go against ESPN’s policy and tweet her thoughts about trump’s racism.
"[trump is] a white supremacist who has largely surrounded himself [with] other white supremacists.” - Jemele Hill
Even though Jemele was not suspended for tweeting her political views against ESPN’s policy, which claims the company does not get involved with politics and corespondents may not engage in politics via social media unless sports related, she was, however, suspended for a much needed tweet a month later. The tweet read;
“Change happens when advertisers are impacted. If you feel strongly about JJ’s statement, boycott his advertisers.” – Jemele Hill on Cowboys Owner Jerry Jones’s statement.
Jemele Hill, being the compassionate powerhouse intellectual that she is, did regret helping to “paint” ESPN in a negative light, however, Jemele Hill kept informing her followers and millions more who’d tune in about politics and the supremacist ways of our Country’s leaders even after the suspension. And after much deliberation Jemele Hill and ESPN split amicably.
Sometimes you cannot sit back and allow the media mask to cover what we know to be the truth. Jemele Hill is a beacon of truth, and with this new found freedom, maybe Jemele will be able to deliver, through her own platform, the truth that she so deservingly desires to reveal.
