The 2018 Black Girls Rock awards show delivered to its viewers one of the greatest tributes, Aretha Franklin featuring Fantasia, Ledisi, Yolanda Adams, Jazmine Sullivan, Cynthia Erivo, and Stephanie Mills.
Fantasia kicked off the entire show by leading us with tribute singing some of Aretha’s most recognizable hits. The show went on giving awards, special performances, and then another Aretha Franklin tribute that shook the entire theater in Newark New Jersey.
Fantasia, Ledisi, and Yolanda Adams had everyone standing, some crying, some shouting, and many hollering in excitement with their powerhouse vocals and performance drive. If Aretha were alive, she’d approve!
