Mariah Carey released a new record called “GTFO” off her upcoming album released this fall, with a glamorous music video to go along with the soft and sensual, yet comical Pop&B song. Mariah knows what she’s doing.
“GTFO” or get the fuck out, is one of the most popular acronyms in texting culture. Mariah Carey, being one of the few legends who pays close attention to pop culture (Black culture), she chose to release this song probably knowing it would cause a buzz. Being a legendary modern song-writer from songs like “Obsessed”, “Up Out My Face”, and “Infinity” Mariah is known for keeping it all the way real.
It’s one of those simple records that says a lot by saying very little; “How bout you GTFO”! Fans are enjoying Mariah’s latest catchy tune, and have already deemed “GTFO” Mariah’s return to Pop.
