Andrea Lee was married to R Kelly from 1996 to 2009. That’s over 10 years of marriage, over 10 years of super highs, terrible lows, and unfortunate abuse. Andrea tells The View that R Kelly was so abusive that she thought he’d kill her.

Andrea recalls a moment in time when she was hog tied by R Kelly and he fell asleep with her still hog tied, but that it was a blessing in disguise because she was able to, while he was asleep, get away. It wasn’t until her daughter, of which she has several kids with R Kelly, asked R Kelly why he was being mean to her that she decided to leave him once and for all 10 years ago.
