Tia Mowry and Loretta Devine to star in NETFLIX series called; ‘Family Reunion’ with a rare all Black writers room. Writers rooms are usually filled with the writing staff for a television show, and it usually consists of a head writer (typically white), and co-writers that create the amazing shows we watch.
NETFLIX New Holiday Comedy Film “The Holiday Calendar” Trailer
The fact that NETFLIX is progressive in picking up a show that features a historic Black culture gathering, with lead Black Actresses, and an all Black writers room, is impressive, but long overdue. Its simple, if you have a Black cast, you should also have a Black writing room. How can another race successfully speak for/write for a race that’s not their own?
‘Family Reunion’ will air 20 episodes its first season, which will probably be a 30min per episode run as this show is a comedy/sitcom multi-camera project.
