Normani, Calvin Harris “Slow Down” & “Checklist” New Trending R&B Bops

Normani released two new singles; “Checklist” and “Slow Down” featuring Calvin Harris and began trending via Twitter Oct 22nd 2018. Normani, 22 years old, was apart of the hit girl group Fifth Harmony, formed by the hit tv show The X Factor, and has since gone solo.

Her first solo effort, “Love Lies” featuring Khalid went double platinum, which is rare for a new R&B star in this modern day of music and streaming. From the excitement via Twitter and social media over her new releases with Calvin Harris, it seems like platinum records for this R&B newbie will be the norm for Mani. See what I did there?

“Checklist” is a short, perfectly executed soca vibe song with Normani singing in a Caribbean accent. “Slow Down” is an R&B Pop record with a static club thump that fronts as a mid-tempo ballad, but amps you up in all the right ways. Listen:
