Kandi Burruss, now just Kandi, released a new single and music video; “Ready For This” partially to promote her successful and sold out dungeon show, but also as new solo music. The music video was directed by Theshay West who Kandi has worked with before on her Bravo Talent show.
The music video was brilliantly shot and the acting wasn’t half bad! It was a take on a wife (Kandi) turned Stepford for her husband (Stepford Wives Movie Ode), that plays him a video of a different version of them in a dungeon of freaky fun.
“Ready For This” shows off Kandi’s lower range/tone and is a catchy R&B Bop with a strong lyrical context around uninhibited sexual nature. It’s a worthy bop, but then again, it’s Kandi, so what would you expect?
