The 2018 midterm elections were bittersweet, stressful, exciting, and historic, with many historic wins for people of colour, Women, and for progressive policy and laws.
Bomb Sent To Barack Obama & Maxine Waters
With the historic wins of the 2018 midterm elections, people of colour, Women, and LGBTQ members will have control over progressive policies, fairness, equality, and due to the House of Representatives being controlled by democrats again (which was another historic win), will hopefully work towards getting trump out of office!
The 2018 Midterm elections were extremely important after trump took the highest office and began, with his administration, to reverse the progressive work millions of this country have worked to build, but we showed out!
Unfortunately we lost a great one in Florida with Andrew Gillum losing to a republican who openly supports racist bigots. However, hope is not lost in Florida. Amendment 4 was passed in Florida, which means 1.4 million former felons banned from voting for life, will now have the right to vote once again!
Massachusetts tonight you sent a message to the administration & to the country that #TransLivesMatter. You chose love over fear. So many activists & organizations worked to make this possible.Thank u @Freedom_Mass @SUSORyley @chasestrangio @ACLU, to name but a very few. #YesOn3

In Georgia Stacey Abrams is holding out waiting to count every last vote, which is her legal right. Considering Brian Kemp (her republican runner) used voter suppressive tactics so that Abrams would lose, and the fact that he’s in charge of voting and polls as the secretary of state, it is brilliant that Stacey holds off and tries to win this Governor race. For the first time in history, over 100 Women were elected in the United States House of Representatives! Not all was lost, progress was made, and this country is slowly moving towards a more progressive, equal country.
Below is a short list of the many wins people of colour took during the 2018 Midterm Elections. When we vote, we make major change that could change the way we exist! We must continue this, and do more!
