15 year old actress and executive producer, Marsai Martin, will be producing a new comedy called ‘Queen’ coming to theaters. As the youngest person to ever ink a first-look deal with Universal Studios, Marsai is just beginning.
The 15 year old ‘Black-ish’ star produced and starred in her first Universal release; ‘Little’ in 2019. ‘Little’ went on to make more than double their budget by breaking the box office almost 50 million!
‘Little’ starred Regina Hall, and Issa Rae, which was conceived by Martin after watching the film “Big” starring Tom Hanks — she was only 14 years old at the time!
‘Queen’ is being kept under wraps, but we know it’s a comedy and that UK writer Camillia Blackett will be writing the script. Marsai’s parents will also be co-producing the film with her, no word yet on when it will be released.
