The BLACK Media Returns This Fall 2023!

TheBLACKMedia returns to updating our website with articles! Since about 2018 we stopped updating TheBLACKMedia.org to focus on our Facebook and Instagram page, and we’ve had major success with that.

From 2019-2023 we very rarely updated our website with new articles, but we excelled at updating our Instagram account. Our Instagram account grew from 5,000 followers to 115,000+ in a short time. After celebrating 10 years this past June, we decided to get back to doing what we do best, write with integrity.

We reached over 20 million people through our social media accounts since 2020!

Over the years many readers have expressed their need for journalistic integrity in Black Media. Apparently, the media industry has become a cash grab for most Black Media outlets, which often lends itself to lackluster articles, but major bucks for the companies.

TheBLACKMedia has always put our readers first, our dignity next to that, and our integrity above financial gain.

Even though we cannot operate without making money, money does not drive us, the people do! So, after 10 years in this business, millions of visitors to our dot org, international and national, we return to continue what put us on the map!

How Will We Structure Our Return?

This time around we will change our focus. As a small company with zero employees, TheBLACKMedia will operate as such, versus how we operated before, doing the work of a team of 50, we will simply do the work of one.

We guarantee a minimum of 5 articles per month. These articles will be of importance, special write ups, reviews, and politics.

We want those chosen to be amplified on our website to feel special, not like they are apart of yet another lineup, or quota, but as chosen, and of importance. We also want our readers to not be bombarded with arbitrary articles just for the sake of clicks and money.

We’ve already begun, starting with Aliah Sheffield, a new artist who creates exceptional music.

Hopefully we can gain the trust of our readers to not only return, but stick around for more. Eventually we will look for writers, and maybe even investors to truly turn TheBLACKMedia into a viable platform that the community trusts to put integrity first.
