Another powerful Spike Lee joint coming to Theaters December 4th….
Amazon and Spike Lee team up to release an original piece written and directed by Spike Lee himself, “CHI-RAQ”. A film that centers around the beloved city Chicago. The film is a satire, but here at TheBLACKMedia we call satires with truth attached to it…Truthtires and that’s exactly what this is. “CHI-RAQ” focus’s on the extreme violence and crime in the city of Chicago and highlights the gang violence in a way that will hopefully get the attention of those living there to fix it, and those in other states to understand the travesty.
The star studded movie features new comer Teyonah Parris, Angela Bassett, Jennifer Hudson, Dave Chappelle, Nick Cannon, Wesley Snipes, Samuel L Jackson and more. The opening voice over states; “Homicides in Chicago Illinois have surpassed the death toll of American special forces in Iraq”. Watch trailer:
