Tyler Perry’s Boo! A Madea Halloween scores the top spot in the box office for the second week in a row. Tyler Perry is one of three directors to have over 10 films open at and over 20 million dollars in the box office consecutively, one being the legendary Steven Spielberg. Tyler Perry is known for making history, being the first Afrikan American to own a large production studio, and being of the only Afrikan American directors to produce and release films every single year!
Boo! Comes as a box office surprise as the assumption numbers were lower than what actually happened. The first week Boo opening weekend landed Tyler at the number one spot with over 27 million in which he was only expect to do 17 million. The second week it dropped, but not too much to 17 million which is what they expected for the first week placing Boo at number one again!
The Film Grossed over 50 million dollars, following suit for Tyler Perry films, his most successful film being “Madea Goes To Jail” at 90 million dollars. Tyler Perry produced yet another comedy classic you can watch, even if it’s not Halloween season!
