Beyonce released the AW2017 campaign for her fit-wear line IVY PARK September 6th 2017. In the melanin rich campaign actress Laverne Cox, who hinted earlier this year she and Beyonce would be working tougher, shined. The AW17 campaign featured; Grace Bol, Karen McDonald, and Ralph Souffrant.

Accompanied with stellar photography, IVY PARK is presenting a new kind of old. Black people have known our beauty for years, however, when you have a large platform like Beyonce, and you use it to show vast beauty, then it becomes universally understood. We are magic!

Considering the ad features a trans-woman, Laverne Cox, it pushes unity as the theme. Who wouldn’t support a clothing brand that unifies? Even though Laverne Cox is still being taunted, degraded and misunderstood, she shines as a trans-woman and the world gets to see it. Beautiful!
