The cast of Family Matters, the 1989 groundbreaking sitcom, reunites for an Entertainment Weekly exclusive. The original show ran for 9 seasons with 22-25 episodes a season! A historic run for an all Black Family on television. Lead by the popularity of Jaleel White’s character, Steve Urkel, the show was one of the most popular sitcoms of the 90s.
The cast reunited for the EW exclusive photoshoot comes in the midst of their Chicago based home front being torn down. Even though the show was taped in studio, the outside of the house, which was an integral part of the show, resided in Chicago. Even though the cast did not reunite under these conditions, its sad to see the house go, especially considering the climate of Hollywood, this show could very well be rebooted. They all look great, and hopefully they can come back as one!
