Charmed Reboot Gets Diversity The Three Sisters Will Be Women Of Colour!

Left To Right: Sarah Jeffery, Melonie Diaz, Madeleine Mantock

The hit tv show ‘Charmed’ scores a CW pilot reboot episode, but instead of the original cast, the entire story is changed from the Halliwell sisters to the Pruitt sisters.

The reboot will be a shocker for many as the main cast is all women of colour of Latin and Afrikan decent, starring: Sarah Jeffery, Madeleine Mantock, and Melonie Diaz. With a cult following, many Charmed fans are not happy about this, mainly because they wanted the original sisters back, and, unfortunately, many are upset at the racial mixup, but this is trumps Amerikkka so that was expected.

Even though many things have changed about the storyline of the reboot of Charmed, the magic and demon fighting remained the same.

Madeleine Mantock will play Macy, the older sister, with the power of telekinesis, moving things with her mind, similar to Prue’s character except Macy is a brilliant geneticist. Melonie Diaz will play Mel, a Lesbian and activist with the power to freeze while Sarah Jeffery will play the youngest sister, Madison, a college student, but instead of having Phoebe’s power of seeing the past and present she can read thoughts.

The pilot has yet to be shot with a slated time from March 19th to about April 4th being the official shooting date in Canada.

From Deadline;

“Penned by Jessica O’Toole and Amy Rardin and created with Urman, the Charmed reboot centers on three sisters in a college town who discover they are witches. Between vanquishing supernatural demons, tearing down the patriarchy and maintaining familial bonds, a witch’s work is never done.”
