Priscilla Renea kicked off her soft-promo tour for her upcoming album “Coloured” in Atlanta at Eddie’s Attic and TheBLACKMedia’s owner, Tahir Register, grabbed an exclusive interview; “A Day With Priscilla Renea”.

Priscilla Renea Gentle Hands

The hour long interview takes viewers to the very beginning of Country Music’s next star, when Priscilla Renea became one of, if not, the first famous YouTube singing sensation to score a five album record deal with Capital Records. Priscilla talks starting out on YouTube, signing her record and publishing deal, her debut album, writing hit songs for Rihanna, Chris Brown, and Pitbull, sexual misconduct, songwriting mistreatment, and her upcoming album “Coloured”.

After spending an entire day with what the industry rumors her to be, Priscilla Renea is exactly what they say, super nice!

Even though Priscilla Renea has worked with some of the greatest, most successful musicians in history, (Mariah Carey, Mary J Blige, John Legend), she’s still a country girl who grew up on a farm with a dream. Being a fan of her early music a decade ago, I was oddly star struck sitting across from her, her best friend, and a beautiful baby that had no issue walking over to me and resting upon my leg.

With as much success and financial access that Priscilla has earned as one of Hollywood’s most sought after writers, you wouldn’t believe she not only enjoy’s Peach soda, but she relishes in the simple things in life. And while that may be true, Priscilla is not a shy spender rocking one of the coolest hats that literally lit up the stage as she performed for a worthy price well earned.

A striking beauty with cheek bones so sharp just looking at them will cut you, Priscilla Renea doesn’t let her beauty and sexual freedom to determine her worth. Priscilla rely’s on her gift, and her ability to create to be the forefront of her experience, while having no issue stepping back and letting others shine too.

Priscilla delivered what rarely happens in the music business…a perfect performance!

Priscilla’s vocals were so sharp, clear, focused, and gritty that if you stare too long you may be mesmerized and sucked into what could be an embarrassing 30 sec cry you never expected to come. Yes, It happened to me, but at least I wasn’t alone, the entire room lit up in tears as Priscilla passionately executed “Build A House” a song off her upcoming album “Coloured”.

I’ve never really felt a presence of colour in the Country Music world, but Priscilla Renea has become that presence for me, and for many others. “Coloured” is the blueprint for millennial country music, it’s story telling to its max, fun, sad, powerful, and most importantly. ..honest! If that’s not that makings of a Country Legend, then I don’t know what is.

Priscilla Renea is ready to share her story, the good, the bad, the warning signs for young musicians coming into the music business, writing woes, and the raw truth! If you’re looking for true industry gems, well…she’s got them!
