MC Lyte recently performed at the 2018 Cincinnati music festival sponsored by Proctor & Gamble (P&G) and fans say she shut down the stage with classic records, and a few new songs.
Proctor and Gamble just announced its renewing its sponsorship with the major festival through 2022! This was MC Lytes first year performing at the festival, and during her interview with TheBLACKMedia she discussed her love for Proctor and Gamble helping the African American community through festivals and programs that uplift.
MC Lyte expressed her love and support for R&B music and Hiphop stating its important to keep the newness, and creativity going, and that the millennial generation just needs one person to break that R&B hold into the Pop world to make R&B popular music again, as it once was.
Even though her voice can be heard doing voice over work, and MC Lyte is more then just an Hiphop legend she still keeps her ear to what’s new embracing even “mumble rap” for its undeniable sound, and passion behind many lyrics.
With so much going on, MC Lyte revealed she will be in Power, starring in a new film, and working with Warren Campbell on new music, MC Lyte still makes time for charity. MC Lyte is not only a Hiphop legend for her music, but for her efforts in Women’s uplift, and sponsoring many high school boys full scholarships to college through her foundation HipHop Sisters Network.
