Nicki Minaj kept her promise and donated $25,000 to actor Geoffrey Owens after his working at Trader Joes became a headlining news story. Geoffrey Owens, although extremely appreciative, decided to donate the money, and Nicki Minaj couldn’t be happier.
“[I’m] extremely grateful to Nicki Minaj…I would like to give this donation of 25k to the Actor’s Fund in memory of the late, great, Earle Hyman — who played Cosby’s father on The Cosby Show.”
This donation came at a very unique time, as Bill Cosby has just been sentenced to 3-10 years in prison for sexual assault. There’s always a silver lining in the midst of disarray.
Geoffrey has been offered a job, which he took, with Tyler Perry, and has been being booked for interviews and appearances since this story hit. Geoffrey’s experience is an example of what happens when we protect our people.
