Grammy-nominated singer Jordin Sparks shared with Dr. OZ her experience having a natural water birth with her first born baby. Jordin is the youngest American Idol winner, and is world known for her hit single “No Air” featuring Chris Brown.
Jordan Sparks said she only pushed three times and the baby was out, but that the umbilical chord was wrapped around her baby’s neck and had to be unwrapped by the mid-wife. Even though that hiccup occurred, she loved the experience of the natural birth, and only experienced a modicum of pain from labor.
Her Husband Dana caught the baby after being unwrapped by the umbilical chord, and he also cut the chord, which Jordin believes experiencing the entire birth process this way helped to bring the two closer together.
Jordin says she has much more respect for her mother, grandmother, and women who experience birth and that she feels stronger, and a deeper passion after having a natural birth. Women too often don’t realize their strength, but a natural birth will make you feel like you can do anything!
